In the afternoon of March 16th, Hong Jiqing, director of International Cooperation Division, Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science & Technology, along with vice director Zhang Jian, director assistant Mao Qianmin, and Dr. Carol Zhao from ZETTC (Zhejiang China-Europe Technology Transfer and Human Resource Center), paid a visit to China Jiliang University (CJLU). Prof. Lin Jianzhong, president of CJLU, welcomed the guests on behalf of the university. Vice president Prof. Jiang Jiaxin, Director of Science & Technology Division Prof. Chen Le, Director of International Cooperation Division Mr. Wu Hongkuan, Dean of Metrology Technology Engineering Institute Prof. Li Dongsheng, and Dean of Science Institute Prof. Ge Hongliang attended the meeting.

First, Mr. Wu Hongkuan presented the international Science & Technology cooperation in CJLU. Afterwards, Prof. Li Dongsheng reported with details about the Inline Metrology and Quality Control project, which is an international cooperation project with German. This project is coordinated by ZETTC. Metrology Technology Engineering Institute of CJLU, Wanxiang Group and Fraunhofer Institute of Production Technology (IPT) will jointly conduct this project. This project is to introduce the advanced Inline Metrology technique from German to Zhejiang, and then digest & re-innovate to make it feasible to Chinese enterprises. Research and development in this project will result in a comprehensive quality control system with general industrialization potential and international technique quality. General Manager of Wanxiang Technical Center, Mr. Sun Guohui introduced the industrial needs and application prospect of this project in Wanxiang Group.

After the above two reports, director Hong Jiqing emphasized that universities are the major force in science and research. He introduced the general concepts and concrete measures in the international cooperation works in Zhejiang province. Subsequently, Mr. Hong especially discussed the Inline Metrology project with other attendees, and then gave his comments and suggestions accordingly.

Prof. Jiang Jiaxin showed his appreciation for the delegation. Recently the university and ZETTC will conduct further investigation and coordination with relevant sides for the Inline Metrology project and then make a project plan.

During this visit, the delegation leaded by Mr. Hong also visited several laboratories, including the provincial key lab ?C Instrument Science & Technology Laboratory, Provincial Magnetic Material Key Laboratory, and University Biology Measurement Center.
